Evergold Corp. [EVER-TSXV] has reported assay results from the first six of 16 diamond drill holes completed in 2026 at the GL1 Zone of its 100%-owned Golden Lion project in the Toodoggone District of northern British Columbia.

“GL26-031 is the standout so far,’’ said Alex Walcott, President and CEO of Evergold. “Nearly five metres of 7.7 g/t gold and 186 g/t silver, 100 metres along trend from the best hole we drilled in 2021, tells us the high-grade domain at GL1 has room to grow both along strike and to depth,’’ he said. “These are the first 16 holes, and we look forward to reporting the remaining ten as results arrive.’’

The program, which is now complete, followed up the company’s 2021 drilling, which returned 66 metres of 1.36 g/t gold, and 11 g/t silver in GL21-024 and 11.3 metres of 5.4 g/t gold and 62 g/t silver in GL21-025. The 2026 holes reported in the company’s lastest press release were drilled from two fences, stepping out roughly 40 and 100 metres southeast of the 2021 holes, to test the continuity of mineralization along strike and down dip.

Evergold shares were active on the news, easing down 4.44% or $0.02 to 43 cents. The shares trade in a 52-week range of 75 cents and 17 cents.

The 2026 program included 16 holes totalling 3,988 metres at GL1, completed between July and August, 2026.  It also included a 725-line-kilometre heliborne survey over the entire property at 75 metre line spacing: 3D modelling is underway.

Evergold is advancing the Golden Lion gold-silver (copper) project. The property, including the recently acquired Copper King claims, covers more than 12,500 hectares and lies about 9.0 kilometres north of Thesis Gold & Silver Inc.’s [TAU-TSXV] Ranch property, and 40 kilometres north of the Sturdee River airstrip. Newmont Corp. [NEM-NYSE, ASX, PNGX] drilled 2,275 metres at Golden Lion between 1982 and 1984, and Evergold 4,825 metres between 2019 and 2021 prior to returning in 2026. At the GL1 Main Zone, the fault zone, likely a reactivated syn-mineral structure inside broader lower-grade haloes. The extensive structure can be traced for at least two kilometres by gold-silver soil anomalies and coincident low resistivity DC/IP surveys.

To the north of GL1, historical data point to copper potential of the kind recently realized elsewhere in the district.

Once all the results are received, the company will integrate the 2026 drilling, geophysical and surface data into a 3D model to aid with the 2027 program planning. An area-based permit application covering induced polarization surveys and drilling at GL1, and at showings and targets in the northern claim block will be submitted over the coming months.
