Resource World was founded in 2002 by Ellsworth Dickson, a mining technologist and graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines. His editorial objective was clear: to inform readers about timely investment opportunities, educate them on the resource sector, and provide rich, interesting, fact-based content. Early in his career, Mr. Dickson worked in geology departments of silver-cobalt mines and copper mines, as well as in structural geology for engineering companies. He became a mining journalist in 1983 and later served as editor of World Investment News in the late 1980s and the George Cross Newsletter in the 1990s.
