Antioquia Gold produces 3,473 oz gold in August at Cisneros mine, Colombia

Antioquia Gold Inc. [AGD-TSXV; AGDXF-OTC] provided a summary of August, 2022, production results for its 100%-owned Cisneros mining operation in Colombia and has provided an update on the progress of other continuing projects. During August, 3,473 ounces of gold were produced at the Cisneros mining operation, with a recovery of gold to concentrate of 96.56% during the month.

During August, 2,536 tonnes of third party ore with an average gold grade of 10.63 g/t were purchased, representing 23% of the monthly gold production. Two diamond drills (Diamec Smart 4) arrived at the operation last month.

These drills will be focused on developing brownfield exploration targets and infill drilling programs from underground locations. The Diamec 4 drills are in addition to the two drills that have been drilling from the surface developing targets close to the mining operations. During August, underground development at both mines continued to advance with 1,144 metres of total advance (vertical, horizontal and in ramps).

At the Guaico mine, development was focused on deepening the mine access and reached Level 985, where a new production base level will be opened. The Guayabito mine is focused on development of the known structures laterally along strike.

“Third party production has decreased in recent months; however, production from the company’s mines remains stable at close to 2,700 ounces per month, largely meeting budgeted goals,” stated Gonzalo de Losada, president and CEO of Antioquia Gold.
