Decade Resources Ltd. [DEC-TSXV; DECXF-OTC] reported assays for 10 drill holes from the 2021 program on the Del Norte property located 34 km east of Stewart in northwest British Columbia’s Golden Triangle.

Del Norte was optioned from Teuton Resource Corp. [TUO-TSXV; TEUTF-OTC; TFE-FSE] in January of 2020 with Decade able to earn up to a 55% interest in the property by spending $4 million over five years. The company can an earn an additional 20% interest by carrying the property to commercial production.

The 2021 drilling tested the contact of felsic volcanic rocks of the Hazelton Group and sedimentary rocks of the Salmon River Formation. This is the same horizon that hosts the Eskay Creek mine 60 km north of Stewart. Drilling was from drill platforms located on rock islands (nunataks) within the South Nelson Glacier. The 2021 drilling was successful in testing for extensions of 2020 discoveries, the gold-silver drill hole intersections on the Argo/LG zone.

Highlights of the 2021 drilling include Hole #4 that returned 7.44 metres of 4.40 gold equivalent (AuEq), including 2.87 metres of 2.89 AuEq. Hole #6 returned 5.64 metres of 7.57 AuEq. Hole #9 returned 15.24 metres of 6.44 AuEq, including 3.66 metres of 3.91 AuEq, including 4.27 metres of 19.44 AuEq, including 1.22 metres of 28.12 AuEq. Hole #10 returned 9.91 metres of 19.03 AuEq, including 3.05 metres of 49.73 AuEq. Refer to company press release for complete assays.

Ed Kruchkowski, President, said: “The company was very successful in outlining additional numerous silver rich areas for further exploration along the Argo/LG system. Our drilling was restricted to available rock islands but with the recession of glacial ice, these will have become bigger for the upcoming 2022 program. The newly identified Argo zone will be the primary focus of exploration in 2022.”
