Kingfisher Metals raises $30 million for Golden Triangle exploration
Kingfisher Metals Corp. [KFR-TSXV, KGFMF-OTCQB-970-FSE] has raised $30 million from a bought deal private placement offering and will use the proceeds to fund exploration at the company’s properties in British Columbia.
The amount raised includes the proceeds of the underwriters’ over-allotment option.
Under the terms of the offering, the company issued 5.3 million non-critical charity flow through common shares priced at 94 cents each, 14.5 million critical charity flow-through common shares priced at $1.04 each, and 15.4 million hard dollar common shares at 65 cents each.
A director of the company subscribed for 100,000 hard dollar shares, for gross proceeds of $65,000.
Kingfisher shares on Tuesday eased 2.9% or $0.02 to 67 cents and trade in a 52-week range of 90 cents and 21.5 cents.
Kingfisher is focused on copper-gold exploration in the Golden Triangle region of British Columbia. Through outright purchases and option earn in agreements (Orogen Royalties Inc. [OGN-TSXV, OGNNF-OTCQX], Golden Ridge Resources Ltd. [GLDN-TSXV], and Aben Gold Corp. [ABM-TSXV, ABNAF-OTCQB), the company has consolidated one of the largest land positions in the Golden Triangle region, with the 933 square kilometre Hwy 37 Project and 202 square kilometre Forrest Kerr Project. The company also owns 100% of two district-scale orogenic gold projects in B.C. that cover 641 square kilometres.
In a press release on January 22, 2026, Kingfisher announced the final assay results from the 2025 drilling program at the Hwy 37 Project. The company said results from drill hole HW-25-011 confirms the discovery of a new copper-gold porphyry system below the Hank epithermal gold-silver mineralized system. Assays from HW-25-011 returned 425 metres of 0.40% CuEq (0.15% copper, 0.21 g/t gold, and 2.2 g/t silver)
The company said this newly identified zone represents a blind discovery, as porphyry copper-gold mineralization had not previously been recognized or reported at Hank. “These results validate Kingfisher’s exploration model and demonstrate the potential for the Hank area to host one or more large-scale porphyry copper-gold systems,’’ the company said in a press release.
“The scale and consistency of this discovery, along with a wide untested area hosting strong geophysical anomalies, highlight the potential for further exploration and support the need for aggressive follow-up drilling in 2026,’’ said Kingfisher CEO Dustin Perry.
The Hwy 37 project is host to numerous porphyry and epithermal targets ranging from geochemical anomalies through to the discovery stage. The project hosts multiple ages of mineralization which are also responsible for mineralization at the Shaft Creek, Galore Creek, as well as the Treaty Creek, KSM-Brucejack districts. The northeastern region of the project is underlain by Eskay-equivalent Iskut River Formation, favourable for VMS mineralization.
Historical exploration and work done by Kingfisher has prioritized the Williams, Mary, and Hank areas where all three deposits have returned multiple intercepts over 100 grams. The highlight intercept from Williams returned 347 metres of 0.33% copper and 0.39 g/t gold, including 190 metres of 0.49% copper and 0.57 g/t gold.
