Metals & Critical Minerals H1.2026

Following severe price drops in 2024 and 2025, Lithium Hydroxide (LiOH.H₂O) prices rallied during H1.2026 with tightening raw material supply chains, increased refining costs and front-loading of procurement cycles for battery materials. Growth in grid-scale energy storage applications contributed to accelerating demand for Vanadium Pentoxide (V₂O₅).
Performance Leaders
    H1.2026 Units
ENERGY METALS LITHIUM HYDROXIDE (LiOH.H₂O) +46.8% $ USD/ lb
ENERGY METALS VANADIUM PENTOXIDE (V₂O₅) +43.4% $ USD/ lb

Retracements

    H1.2026 Units
PGM PALLADIUM (Pd) -25.2% $ USD/ oz
PGM PLATINUM (Pt) -24.9% $ USD/ oz

Platinum (Pt) and Palladium (Pd) prices retraced in H1.2026 principally as a result of easing US trade tariff dislocations and softer internal combustion engine automotive demand.
