Cartier drills intrusion-related gold system in Quebec

Cartier Resources Inc. [ECR-TSXV, 6CA-FSE] has announced the tenth batch of results from a 100,000-metre drill program and a new style of gold mineralization (intrusion related gold deposits) on its 100%-owned Cadillac Project in Val d’Or, Que.

Cartier shares advanced on the news, rising 8.3% or $0.02 to 26 cents. The shares trade in a 52-week range of 32.5 cents and $0.095.

The company said the newly identified largely untested conceptual exploration opportunity is situated within the underexplored Pontiac sedimentary Group in the Hope Sector area of the 14,000-hectare Cadillac property immediately south of the prolific Cadillac Fault. It said this supports significant upside potential for large scale gold mineralization typical of porphyry intrusion-related systems in the Pontiac sediments that are reminiscent of the Canadian Malartic Camp.

Highlights from drilling from the Porphyry #1 Zone, Hope Sector area, include CA26-327, which returned 5.2 g/t gold over 5.0 metres, including 10.8 g/t gold over 1.0 metre. Hole CA26-330 returned 1.2 g/t gold over 25.5 metres, including 12.2 g/t gold over 0.5 metres with visible gold grains.

The company said holes CA26-327, 330, 331 and 332 clearly demonstrate the presence of a new shallow and extensive porphyritic felsic intrusion-related gold system (Porphyry #1). The mineralization extends over a minimum of 750 metres in strike length by 250 metres in depth and remains open in all directions, suggesting upside exploration potential. Gold values distributed in this new host rock ranges from 1.0 to 3.5 g/t gold over significant lengths of 8.0 to 25.5 metres, paving the way for a large-scale gold mineralized system.

A second porphyritic felsic intrusion (Porphyry #2) has been discovered two kilometres east of Porphyry #1. Two drill holes have been completed so far, with one intersecting visible gold grains, highlighting its strong mineralization potential. Assay results are currently pending.

When Cartier launched the fully-funded100,000-metre diamond drilling program in September, 2025, it said the program would include over 600 drill holes supported by two rigs focused on expanding known gold zones and testing new high-priority targets. It said approximately 25% of the program would be dedicated to exploring targets generated by a new predictive model created by artificial intelligence using VRIFY’s AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform , DORA.

“These new results could be transformative for Cartier shareholders,’’ said Cartier President and CEO Philippe Coutier in a press release. “Accordingly, the company is actively revising its 2026 drilling strategy,’’ Cloutier said. Next steps include additional drilling at the Hope Sector area to test two new high-priority geophysical targets. These are a 1,500-metre strong chargeability anomaly, located between the existing porphyry zones to test expansion potential of the mineralized system or a new porphyry centre. Another target is a 750-metre ovoid magnetic anomaly that is consistent with a sizeable intrusive body often associated with porphyry mineralization.
