Goliath raises $9.8 million for Golden Triangle exploration
Goliath Resources Ltd. [GOT-TSXV, GOTRF-OTCQB, B41F-FSE] says it has raised $9.8 million from a non brokered private placement financing and will use the proceeds to fund exploration at its Golddigger-Surebet Gold Project in British Columbia.
Under the financing, the company issued 6.05 million common shares (the flow-through shares) at a price of $1.62 per share. “We welcome the continued support from the institutional community for our grassroots high-grade Surebet Gold Discovery at our Golddigger Property located in the Golden Triangle,” said Goliath Founder and CEO Roger Rosmus. “The overall market has been extremely volatile. These additional funds are an insurance policy that further enhance our strong balance sheet and puts us in a stronger position, with $27.5 million in cash going into 2027 and our planned exploration drill program,’’ he said. “We look forward to announcing assays on the 55 holes that are still pending from the 2026 drill program once received, compiled and interpreted,’’ he said.
Goliath shares were unchanged Friday at $1.19 and trade in a 52-week range of $2.93 and $1.17.
Goliath Resources is an explorer of precious metals projects in the Golden Triangle region of northeastern British Columbia.
The Golddigger Property covers an area of 91,518 hectares in the world class geological setting of the Eskay Rift, within 3.0 kilometres of the Red Line in the Golden Triangle. This area has hosted some of Canada’s greatest mines, including Eskay Creek, Premier and Snip. Other significant and well-known deposits in the Golden Triangle include Brucejack, Copper Canyon, Galore Creek, Granduc, KSM and Red Chris.
In a press release on September 22, 2026, Goliath said it had concluded a 2026 drill program with over 48,000 metres drilled in 97 holes at the Surebet discovery at Golddigger. The company said the program confirmed the continuity of this large, high-grade, gold-rich system. It said 100% of the drill holes completed to date on Surebet have intersected quartz-sulphide mineralization, as well as 412 drill holes out of 483 or 85% contain VG-NE, clearly demonstrating the untapped discovery potential remaining on the property. At the time, the company said assays from 83 holes are still pending.
In just 21 months of on-the-ground work, the Surebet Discovery has advanced from a grassroots showing on virgin ground exposed by glacial and snowpack retreat to an extensive high-grade mineralizing system with significant potential. It said the project consists of 46 identified stacked gold-rich veins defined by over 200,000 metres of total drilling. It said the system’s scale continues to get larger with every drill program, with over 1,500 pierce points (2021 to 2025) distributed across an area of 2.01 square kilometres.
The consistent high-grade gold results have drawn comparisons to some of the most significant discoveries in the Golden Triangle.
